Register now for the Fall 2026 Western Copyright Alliance Copyright First Responders training with Kyle K. Courtney. This is an intensive six week online training designed for librarians and library workers who encounter copyright in their day-to-day work. After the training, you will be invited to join a CFR network in your region, an opportunity to collaboratively develop our capacity around copyright issues in a trusted community of practice.
Important information:
Training Dates: Fridays 9/25,10/9, 10/23, 11/6, 11/20, 12/4(10:00am-12:00pm Pacific)
Optional drop-in dates: 10/2, 10/16, 10/30, 11/13, 12/11 (10:00-11:00am Pacific)
Registration closes September 21st.
Recording: The training sessions will not be recorded.
Attendance: Please do not sign up if you know you will not be able attend. With the understanding that stuff happens, we ask that you plan to attend all sessions of the training. If you know that you will not be able to attend, we encourage you to consider waiting for the next training. With that said, the WCA leaders will plan some optional drop-in sessions on off weeks and can provide overview information about missed sessions.
Communication and Zoom links: After registration, the organizers will communicate with all registrants through a Google group. If your institution has Google settings that make Google groups not work well, please consider using an alternate email. Zoom links will be sent ahead of training.
