This collection includes the final report of the project as submitted to IMLS, supplementary materials, and will include any future publications that result from this research. Survey and focus group data are collected in a complementary collection in the ASU Library Research Data Repository.

Contributors to this research include: Patrick Newell – CSU-Chico, Rachel Bridgewater – Portland Community College, Anali Maughan Perry – ASU, Karen Grondin – ASU, Lori M. Weber, CSU-Chico. We also thank our excellent graduate assistants: Jaclyn Noble (data analysis), Jordan Jedry (outreach & focus groups), and Max Robinson (outreach & focus groups).

Facilitation of regional Copyright First Responders networks

Alaska

Arizona

California

Pacific Northwest

WCA has its origins in the efforts of local facilitators of state and regional Copyright First Responder networks in Alaska, Arizona, California, and the Pacific Northwest. Those collaborations remain at the heart of our work.

Professional development webinars

WCA leaders have worked together to sponsor professional development opportunities related to copyright in libraries and other cultural institutions. These opportunities are offered at times convenient for participants in Western US time zones and often feature regional experts.

Community of practice

Perhaps most importantly, the Western Copyright Alliance is devoted to nurturing a vibrant community of practice both through our work with our local and regional Copyright First Responder networks and through our collaborations across and between and beyond those networks.
